Join my wife, Sandy & me on Sunday, October 20, 2024 – 1 to 4 pm – as we gather at North Ridge Pavilion – 2250 Holiday Road in Coralville – to celebrate the Johnson County Historical Society’s Annual Meeting – A Celebration of History.

The annual event is an all-inclusive community gathering showcasing excellence in historical preservation and interpretation in 2024. This event fosters the opportunity for community members to get together to evoke feelings of nostalgia, reminisce about the days of old, and look toward the future of preserving our history.

This year’s event includes a presentation by yours truly. Our talk is called Our Rich Transportation Heritage – Johnson County.

Because this is a fund-raiser for JCHS, the admission fee is $50, but because you are a follower of Our Iowa Heritage, we’d like to invite you to join us at one of our tables. The cost? Only $40 per person.
