February 28, 1825 – Jacob B. Boller – my gg grandfather – is born to George F. & Elizabeth (Zook) Boller in East Union Township of Wayne County, Ohio. Jacob married Catharine Smucker in 1849, and they were the first Bollers in my family to move to Iowa – settling on farmland in Washington Township of Johnson County in 1853.

Interesting you have an ancestor with surname Zook. When I was working at KWWL in Waterloo, we had a radio DJ named Dick Zook. He had a slogan, “Look for Zook”.
