So, who is Fred Kent?

Wetherby & Kent – Two Generations – Two Cameras – One City.
A Fred W. Kent Campus Tour – Then & Now.
Entertainment Tonight – Iowa City – The First 50 Years. This picture is, indeed, of the Coldren Opera House, but the info shown is incorrect. When Twain came to Iowa City (1869 – not 1867), he performed at Metropolitan Hall and stayed at the Clinton House – which stood on the corner of College & Clinton until being destroyed by fire in 1872. The Coldren replaced the Clinton House in 1877.
Entertainment Tonight – Iowa City – The First 50 Years.
1904 – Welcome To Prosperous, Enterprising Iowa City.
The Hutchinson Building – located on the corner of Washington & Dubuque Streets – was also known as Metropolitan Hall. Today, the Jefferson (Hotel) Building is there.
