Iowa: 1865-1894 – The Heizer Collection.

In January 2021, I purchased 4 Iowa City postmarked covers from an Ebay dealer (C-0207-C-0210). As I did research on them, I found a great deal of info about the Iowan the letters were addressed to: David Newton Heizer of Kossuth (near Mediapolis in Des Moines County). A few weeks later, that same Ebay dealer offered me 63 more covers related to Heizer. The price was right (less than 50-cents per cover) so I got ’em and here’s the complete collection. 67 covers – ranging over thirty years – one interesting story. Enjoy! Check out the full story here.
