St. Patrick’s Cathedral on 5th Avenue – was breath-taking – to say the least.
Inside and out…
There are dozens of little prayer stations around the massive sanctuary – each one focusing on one of the saints of the Catholic Church. Here is one dedicated to Mother Teresa.
After the death of President John Kennedy (1963), Jacqueline remarried. Her new husband, the Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, built this large skyscraper next to St. Patrick’s – so Jackie could live here and gaze at St. Pat’s whenever she wanted to. The glass building perfectly reflects the cathedral on sunny days like this one. Amazing!
