February 11, 1893 – The Daily Citizen reports on “forty pleasure seekers” who dance the night away at the Hunt Hotel, located at 21 East College Street in downtown Iowa City.
The Hunt Hotel is just one of numerous downtown hotel stories discussed in a November 1913 newspaper article written by the long-time editor of the State Press – Jacob E. Reizenstein, on the occasion of the opening of The Jefferson Hotel.
