Bon Accord – South Liberty, Johnson County, Iowa

January 4, 1858 – The U.S. Postal Service opens the Bon Accord Post Office in South Liberty of Johnson County, Iowa.

Bon Accord was the post office assigned to the village of South Liberty of Liberty Township in Johnson County, and as you can see from the maps above – South Liberty/Bon Accord laid directly west of Hills, and according to postal history records, the Bon Accord post office was open for business from January 4, 1858 until August 15, 1900.
